IATA/AFRAA/AFCAC Aeropolitical Forum

After the conclusion of the 49th AFRAA AGA, AFRAA, IATA, AFCAC, and ICAO will convene the 2017 Aeropolitical Forum on Wednesday, 15 November under the theme: “The next Five years for African Aviation – Strategies and quick wins”.

The event will see key aviation stakeholders from across the continent, and beyond, gathering to review the latest developments affecting aviation in Africa. The African Union has announced the launch of the single African air transport market (SAATM) in January, 2018 and the forum will discuss the practical implications that will ensure the Continent reaps the full benefits. Other topics include the 2018/2019 airline requirements for the implementation of the Carbon Offsetting Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) as well as other implications for Africa under the scheme, tackling high industry costs and infrastructure, human capital and youth development and much more.
